Within her 20 years of experience, Christine has managed diverse engagements for coding, reimbursement, registration and documentation improvement engagements involving both inpatient and outpatient facilities plus physician practices.
In addition to her consulting experience, for the past 10 years Christine has been an instructor for both private (hospitals, medical practices) and college training programs in the healthcare field with the focus on revenue cycle improvement and compliance. She served on the faculty for the DocuCompLLC Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification Program and the DocuCompLLC Denial Management and Appeals Specialist Certification Program. She participated in the editing process for the “Hospital Billing and Coding” textbook released in early 2006 by Elsevier Publishers, the reimbursement and coding sections of another Elsevier publication “Medical Assisting” released in 2007, and the "2010 CCS Professional Study Guide" published by Delmar.Her article on Chargemaster Compliance was published in July 2007 in the Health Care Compliance Association’s Compliance Journal. She co-authored the Chargemaster Compliance chapter for the CCH Compliance Professional’s Manual, published in January 2008.
She has presented regional and national workshops and webinars on various topics such as the MS-DRGs, Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC), and coding improvement.Christine successfully achieved the designations of Certified Healthcare Instructor (CHI), Certified Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (C-CDI), and Certified Clinical Documentation Specialists (CCDS), .She is also a Certified Professional Coder for Hospitals (CPC-H), a Facility Coding Specialist (FCS), and a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Christine is an MDS 3.0 Certified Trainer (MDS-CT) and MDS Survey Specialist. She is also an AHIMA-Certified ICD-10 Trainer.
